Published on April 7, 2015

Ryan-SteckRyan Steck has been part of Team Schein for nine productive years.  His career began as a Field Sales Consultant in San Diego, California, leading to the Equipment Sales Specialist position for the Chicago, Illinois Center.  When Ryan turned 28, he accepted the Regional Manager position at the Raleigh, North Carolina Center.  Ryan says it’s very rewarding to work with for a great group of people at Henry Schein, “I’m grateful to work with a group of people who genuinely care about the well being of our clients.”  Ryan graduated from Marquette University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing and will receive his MBA in the spring of 2012 from North Carolina State University.

Even though Ryan has a successful career and impressive education, his family is what matters most to him, “My wife, Nicole, and my family mean everything to me.  Without them, none of this has a whole lot of meaning.  My wife and I are the proud owners of a rescue dog named Tuxedo.  He is so happy to see us every day when we come home and he makes even the most challenging day a distant memory.  My wife and I met in Chicago and still consider it our favorite city.  The life my wife and I have built is amazing, but it is also the result of a lot of hard work.”

Ryan looks forward to having children of his own since he grew up in a large family, “I am the oldest of six children and third generation in the dental industry.  My father, Dave Steck, works for Henry Schein and my grandfather, Ed Kujolic, owned a regional dental supply company called Coast Dental Supply in San Diego.”  Some of Ryan’s favorite childhood memories include spending time with his grandfather, “We would go on golf trips or just spend the day driving around and talking.”  Ryan also loves spending time with his father, “He knows how to truly connect with and lead people.  He genuinely cares about other people and I think they appreciate that about him.  This makes him a more effective and natural leader.”

Ryan not only identifies with his family, but President Franklin D. Roosevelt, “He’s an optimist who wasn’t afraid of doing new things and taking on any challenges he faced.”  Ryan isn’t afraid of trying new things, which was why it was natural to begin working with Team Straine, “I’ve learned to be even more effective in my ability to influence others as a result of the comprehensive strategies this organization teaches.  The team at Straine equips me to better understand all aspects of the dental industry and how we align our strengths for maximum effectiveness.”
