Mark-LoweryMark Lowery graduated from Southwestern University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and earned a Master’s Degree from Amberton University.  Mark launched his career at Henry Schein in 2007 as a Regional Manager at the Oklahoma Center, followed by two years as RM at the Houston Center.  In 2010 Mark arrived in California taking over the Henry Schein Sacramento Center as Regional Manager, “Our team is a diverse group made up of both seasoned and rookie members; they are all engaged and truly talented individuals.  I’ve become a better manager as result of their contribution and participation.”  Mark leads by first being an exceptional listener, then creates the plan that will benefit everyone, “You create your own luck so for things to happen in your favor, you must first listen and be mindful of everyone’s input, then create the strategic plan.”

Mark is not only a devoted Team Schein Member, he’s an especially devoted family man, “My father helped me shape the direction I wanted to go in my career, my uncle inspired me to accomplish big goals, and my mother instilled in me a strong dose of patience in order to allow all of my efforts to bear fruit.  One of the most important lessons I’ve learned on my own is how to manage my time.  When I was balancing school, work and family, I discovered family is my number one priority.”  Mark says Diona, his wife of eighteen years, has a vivacious smile and charismatic personality.  Diona and Mark are the proud parents of sixteen-year old Hannah and fourteen-year old Maxwell, “My idea of perfect happiness is spending the day with my family at a beach in Kauai or watching my children participate in sports.  Hannah loves volleyball and with Maxwell, he’s into my first love, basketball.”  It’s apparent to everyone that the apples don’t fall far from the tree, “Some of my fondest childhood memories are of playing basketball, in high school and college.  I still play and find all sports to be a great stress reliever.”

Mark surrounds himself with individuals who are respectful and honest, “I admire those who shoot straight and lay out the facts, good or bad.  I don’t believe in dancing around an issue.”  Since working with Straine Mark says he’s gained an appreciation for a couple of business owners that are straight shooters and lead by example.  “Kerry and Livy hold daily huddles, weekly staff meetings, solve problems and follow through on every promise; I respect them for practicing what they preach.  I keep this at the forefront of my mind so I do the same as RM.  Oh, and I intend to go to Pebble Beach this year too!”
